Holidays in Wroclaw…
The “Przemisia” bear visited Wroclaw. After a two-week stay the bear is getting better. Just to remind you, the she bear came to us for the second time after a long chase weighting just over 80kg. Specially arranged syndication diet proved to be effective. “Przemisia” bear successfully regained lost kilograms (20 kilograms) during her January wanderings. Unfortunately our earlier concerns came true. Fed and being in her full strength the bear began to get bored and play pranks :) Bear staying in the hospital has caused us a lot of confusion. In time we mastered the situation. This wasn’t too difficult because the animal was in some degree domesticated and accustomed to being fed by us. However, the facts are that we don’t have the right conditions to keep the bear over a period of rehabilitation and treatment, we decided together with the Regional Environment Directorate to temporary transfer “Przemisia” to one of the zoos until the City of Przemysl deals with the construction of professional range for her. With the help came the zoo of Wroclaw, which has adopted the bear on the basis of 'deposit' (temporary storage), which forms the legal basis for this case. The she bear in a convoy of representatives of the Regional Environment and Fire Department assisted by a vet Andrew Fedaczyński went on the night from Thursday for Friday in the specially adapted cage to the Wroclaw Zoo. “Przemisia” bore the transportation quite well. In the Zoo our bear waits for a new home. We are in constant contact with the city of Przemysl, which maintain that the construction will be finished within three months. The necessary decisions and orders have already been taken. We can only have hope that the bear will come back for us as quickly as possible to live in comfortable conditions. As a Rehabilitation Center of Protected Animals, we have provided access to the website of “Przemisia“ in Wroclaw Zoo where we can look at our bear during her stay. As the Foundation we want to thank for all the support, both financial and in the form of gifts of food. We would like to inform you that all the food for the bear, which still goes to us and some of which “Przemisia” did not manage to eat, has been passed to the zoo of Wroclaw. Also declared financial aid, entirely runs to support the construction of range or bear’s maintenance costs, when she will return to Przemysl. Special thanks for: Elementary School No 1, Elementary School No. 14, Elementary School No. 15, No. 6 Elementary School, High School No. 2 (including a delightful collaboration, and snow bear justifying the City Office;)), the Schools Service and Team-hotel facilities, Electronic and Secondary Schools in Przemysl, as well as all people from Allegro auctions - individuals to whom the fate of wild, Polish fauna is not indifferent. Thank you for your support. This is mainly thanks to you, that “Przemisia” quickly recovered, now feels very well and can expect a decent accommodation.
